Painting Workshop

Coober Pedy TAFE

April 4 - 15

Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm

Once again Ananguku Arts brings the Coober Pedy Art Project to the TAFE building on Hutchison Street for another two-week painting workshop with local art facilitators Amandine Caire and Damien Bachmann. Working with acrylic paints on canvas and linen, this workshop is designed to develop artists' technique and enhance their understanding of colour and brush use. In the past these workshops have resulted in the creaion of a substantial body of work from over 50 artists living or visiting Coober Pedy. Art sales held in Coober Pedy and the nearby Prominent Hill miners' village have often sold out with many of the artists being in high demand.

The workshop is open to all Indigenous artists, and lunch and morning tea are provided. Participation is free and works created are catalogued in the Coober Pedy Art Project and marketed through Ananguku Arts and Culture Aboriginal Corporation.
