Berri Art Workshop

Berri Art Workshop

In 2013 Ananguku Arts ran a week long professional development workshop for artists in Berri in South Australia’s Riverlands. The workshop facilitator was Bluey Roberts, a renowned Aboriginal artist who works in many mediums including works on paper and canvas, ceramics, sculpture, wood and emu eggs.

Working from a church hall in Berri, local artists gathered each morning and worked quietly through the day while being mentored by the Bluey who create some great works while he was there.

One of the Berri artists who participated in the workshop, Ena Turner, who decorates wine casks for a local winery, Banrock Station, and is now involved in delivering art workshop in the town. Ena came to Adelaide and undertook the 2013 Curatorial Workshop run by Ananguku Arts in the lead up to Our Mob.
