Our Mob

Our Mob is an annual Indigenous art exhibition hosted by the Adelaide Festival Centre in conjunction with Ananguku Arts and Country Arts SA. The event features an art award for emerging artists sponsored by the Don Dunstan Foundation and a curated exhibition as well as workshops and symposiums.

Our Mob

Ananguku Arts runs a major artists symposium each year presenting rigorous discussion about critical issues in contemporary art. The 2013 Symposium was held over 5 hours on Saturday Oct 26 following the Official Opening of the Our Mob Exhibition the previous night.

Session 2 – Critical Trends in Indigenous Curatorial Practice

This session was chaired by Raymond Zada with panelists Franchesca Cubillo, Nici Cumpston and Troy-Anthony Baylis.

Session 3 – The Medium is the Message: Developing South Australian Indigenous Arts Practice

This panel, again chaired by Raymond Zada, presented the views of an established South Australian Indigenous artist, Sandra Saunders and those of two emerging artists James Tylor and Coby Edgar.
