Belinda shared her skills and creative passion to teach others how to make wearable adornments out of recycled plastics and found natural materials.

The Marine Debris, Leafy Sea Dragon created by Arts Ceduna artists, also made a festival appearance.

About Belinda Wilson

Belinda was born on Raukkan mission in 1956 and grew up there until she was four years old. Her father and mother moved to Kingston to work on the waterworks. They stayed in Kingston for a year, and then her father got permanent work on the railways in Kalangadoo. She lived there with her three brothers and her sister until she was 16 and then left SA to go to Victoria with her partner.

Belinda's artistic journey began in Kalangadoo, where she started drawing at home and in school. Her creativity was always fueled by her love for nature, often using materials found during family hunting trips. This connection to nature is a recurring theme in her work, creating a sense of familiarity and connection for the audience.
