OUR MOB WORKSHOPS & AWARDS NIGHT

GOOLWA COMMUNITY CENTRE

Adelaide festival centre

JUNE - august 2023

Our Mob is an annual exhibition presented by the Adelaide Festival Centre in partnership with Ku Arts, Country Arts SA, The Don Dunstan Foundation and Tarnanthi Festival. Our Mob provides South Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists an opportunity to exhibit and enter prize categories to further support professional development and show their works to a new audience.

Ku Arts supports independent artists across the state to produce artworks for entry into Our Mob through creative workshops and supplying materials and/or studio space. In 2023, Ku Arts supported regional workshops at Goolwa for artists to connect and create new works to exhibit. Ku Arts also assists artists in completing their entry forms (from how to catalogue work to writing an artist statement) and postage logistics, as well as supporting artist travel and accommodation.

This year, Ku Arts sponsored a new award, the Ku Arts Award, in honour of our founding chair, Inawintji Williamson. Ina’s brother, Paul Andy, and Ku Arts Ceo, Melissa Juhanson, presented the award.

Congratulations to all award winners and exhibiting awards.
