Ku Arts Art Centre service delivery update
Tjuntjuna (Ceduna) and the APY Lands

Ninuku Arts, APY Lands:
Exciting developments are underway at Ninuku Arts. We're thrilled to welcome new Art centre staff, Georgie and Faith, who have already made a positive impact. In exciting merchandise news, Cassaria Young hoodies are now available for purchase. Our recent Ku Arts visit in July proved successful, showcasing the smooth operation of the art centre under new leadership. A productive artists' meeting with Ku Arts focused on ongoing developments and future plans for the centre.
Ernabella Arts, APY Lands:
Ernabella Arts continues to thrive as a bustling creative hub. Recent developments include the ongoing construction of a new museum, which is making impressive progress and nearing completion. The funding for this infrastructure was secured by Ku Arts from the Australian Government Office of the Arts in 2022. .
Other infrastructure work nearing completion at Ernabella Arts is the extension to the Wati’s painting studio, and installation of a new insulated ceiling in the ceramics studio - Ku Arts secured funding for these extensive extensions in 2023 from South Australian Government, Aboriginal Affairs & Reconciliation.
During a recent visit, Ku Arts representatives were able to witness the exciting advancements firsthand.
Additionally, and most recently in 2024 Ku Arts has successfully secured further infrastructure funding from South Australian Government Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation for Ernabella Arts (paving projects to enhance the centre's facilities), and Ninuku Arts (construction of a much needed room for preparing canvases and paints)

Exciting developments are happening at Ceduna Arts. A recent Ku Arts visit confirmed the centre's vibrant atmosphere. The new Ceduna Arts Gallery is nearing completion, bringing a fresh space and incredible ocean front location. This state-of-the-art facility will provide an enhanced space for showcasing the incredible talent of local artists and is set to become a cultural landmark in the community.

Through both on-site and off-site support, we aim to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of these vital cultural hubs, ensuring they continue to thrive and showcase the rich artistic heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
